Root 2 Rise is a Wisconsin-based nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth and families through cultural healing, education, and advocacy. While their work on the ground continued to grow, their digital presence did not reflect the reach or impact of their programs. Their Meta (formerly Facebook) page showed minimal activity and irregular engagement, and their LinkedIn profile was nonexistent. Recognizing the growing importance of online visibility for fundraising, community outreach, and public trust, Root 2 Rise engaged Adapt Marketing Consulting to create and manage a strategic digital communications plan that could grow with the organization.
Summary
Over a six-month period, Adapt Marketing Consulting designed and executed a two-platform strategy focused on revitalizing Meta and launching LinkedIn from scratch. The approach prioritized consistent, mission-aligned content that was visually compelling and tailored to each platform’s audience. On Meta, the results were significant: 43,875 total views, a 959.8% increase in reach, 1,101 content interactions (up 555.4%), 230 link clicks (up 100%), and a 223.6% increase in page visits. Most notably, Root 2 Rise gained 225 new followers—a 378.7% increase in page audience.
Simultaneously, Adapt built Root 2 Rise’s LinkedIn presence from the ground up. In just six months, the organization gained 125 followers organically, reached over 5,100 impressions, and recorded steady engagement with 205 reactions, 11 comments, and 8 reposts—all without paid promotion. Both platforms are now active communication tools that reflect the organization’s impact, professionalism, and vision for the future.
Challenge
Prior to this partnership, Root 2 Rise had no structured or sustained digital marketing strategy. Their Meta page had been inconsistently maintained, limiting its ability to engage the public or promote events effectively. LinkedIn, which offers significant visibility among funders, collaborators, and professionals, had never been used. The organization lacked the internal capacity to plan, execute, or monitor digital communications at scale. They needed a trusted partner who could not only manage content creation and engagement, but also design a strategy aligned with their mission and capacity.
Solutions
Adapt Marketing Consulting developed a digital communications framework tailored to Root 2 Rise’s goals, voice, and available resources. The strategy on Meta focused on high-performing formats such as photo and link-based posts, along with light ad support to extend reach around key programming and community events. Posts were planned around Root 2 Rise’s seasonal calendar and included community spotlights, event promotions, and culturally relevant storytelling.
On LinkedIn, Adapt built the page infrastructure, crafted a content strategy for professional engagement, and published consistent updates to introduce the organization’s mission, impact areas, and leadership. All content was designed to resonate with an audience of nonprofit peers, potential partners, and funders. Monthly performance tracking ensured real-time insights into what content was performing well, allowing Adapt to continuously refine the strategy for maximum relevance and reach.
