2024

The Latino Academy of Workforce Development introduced a 10-Week Accelerator Program in Summer 2024, crafted and implemented by Adapt Marketing Consulting. This initiative was targeted at aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs in the construction and transportation sectors, aiming to furnish them with vital business competencies and insights.

Summary

The case study highlights the program's comprehensive approach, which included guidance in strategic planning, establishing a digital presence, and enhancing operational efficiency. Adapt Marketing Consulting developed and delivered the entire curriculum in Spanish, catering specifically to 14 entrepreneurs. The program was designed to equip participants with tailored coaching and practical strategies to meet their individual business objectives.

Challenge

The accelerator encountered multiple challenges throughout its implementation. Developing a curriculum in Spanish that resonated with the diverse backgrounds and industry-specific demands of the participants was a complex task. Additionally, keeping all entrepreneurs engaged and active in the program proved challenging, especially as many of them had to balance the demands of the program with full-time jobs. Furthermore, many participants entered the program with inefficient business processes and lacked clear strategies for growth, necessitating significant enhancements and clarifications through the program.

Solutions

To overcome these obstacles, the accelerator program implemented a series of strategic measures. Workshops were specifically designed to meet the needs of the participants, focusing on crucial aspects of business management and growth. Regular bi-weekly coaching sessions provided continuous support and ensured the strategies learned were applied practically, allowing real-time adjustments and improvements. The program also equipped participants with practical tools and knowledge, directly applicable to enhancing their business operations and strategic planning, helping them refine their processes and clarify their growth strategies.

The effectiveness of the program was highlighted by all participants learning new business strategies and achieving a high overall attendance rate of 79%. This success demonstrates the value of providing targeted educational initiatives that are culturally and linguistically aligned with the participants, showcasing significant professional development when training is delivered in their primary language.
